Missouri State Parks invites the public to a ribbon-cutting for the new Salt Creek Bridge on the Katy Trail at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6. The old bridge was washed off its piling during a 2019 flood of the Missouri River.
The bridge is located at the 181.4 mile marker of the Katy Trail, approximately 2.7 miles northwest of Rocheport.
Attendees are encouraged to travel to the event by bicycle; vehicle parking will be available at the Davisdale Conservation Area, located just west of the project. Attendees will then follow the trail to the bridge.
