Glasgow resident, Rose Weber, 87 passed away at Glasgow Gardens on December 10, 2021.

Rose Ann Weber was born June 8, 1934, in Prairie Home, Missouri. She was one of 10 children born to Herman and Louise “Lula” (Franken) Heisler. She graduated from high school at Ss. Peter and Paul in Boonville. On June 1, 1957, she married the love of her life, Martine W. Weber. Together they enjoyed 38 years of marriage. Martine preceded Rose in death on June 9, 1995. Rose worked as a daycare provider for 25 years, watching and helping raise numerous children in her home. Rose was a devout Catholic and stayed very active within St. Mary’s Parish. She was involved in numerous capacities within the church, including being President of the CCW. She taught CCD classes, and she was in charge of the church laundry for numerous years. Rose enjoyed sewing, tending to her yard and plants, and doing word search puzzles. 

Survivors include four children, Theresa (George) Nation of Glasgow, Missouri, Melinda (Tim) Brooks of Louisiana, Missouri, Marilyn (Jim) Aholt of Glasgow, Missouri, and Melvin Weber of Greenville, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin and Bill Weber, and her nine siblings.

Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. Rosary was held before the visitation at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glasgow, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Interment followed at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
