Fayette High School seniors Kyle Schleeter and Virginia Claire Alexander were crowned King and Queen of the annual Fayette Courtwarming on Friday night.
The ceremony came at halftime of the boys' basketball game.
Alexander is the daughter of Rick and Shelby Alexander. Schleeter is the son of Shawn and Lynn Schleeter.
In normal years the week leading up to the Courtwarming games is chock full of games and class activities. But winter weather this year canceled school all week except for Friday. And the annual Courtwarming dance was not held due to the ongoing pandemic.
In basketball action Friday, the Fayette girls lost what would turn out to be their final game of the season, 52-32, to Schuyler County. The boys won 72-50. Schleeter scored a game-high 36 points on the night.
