Scott Strodtman, 46, passed away at his home in rural Glasgow, Mo., on October 15, 2020, after a 12-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Scott Glenn Strodtman was born September 6, 1974 in Fayette, Mo., a son to Ronald and Leasa (Monnig) Strodtman. In the Spring of 1993, he graduated from Glasgow High School. Upon graduation, he began a successful farming career, working alongside his father.

Scott, affectionately called Scottie by his family, and Bubba by his friends, was an old soul who valued hard work and family above all else. He was kind and quiet, but quick to grin and tease. When he was younger, Scottie enjoyed hunting and fishing and later developed a love and talent for woodworking. His many handmade presents for his family will be treasured. Scottie adored his niece and nephews, and enjoyed spending time with them when not in the field, and always came through with the funniest birthday cards. Scottie was a loving son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He will be missed deeply by family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Ronnie and Leasa Strodtman of Glasgow; three siblings, Sherry (Terill) Bean of Fayette, Josh (Blake Worland) Strodtman of Lee’s Summit, and Carrie Strodtman of Fayette; his grandma Martha Ann Strodtman of Fayette; niece, Jillian, and three nephews, Christopher, Nathan, and Ethan. Scott is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Marie Monnig, and Ralph Strodtman.

A memorial service honoring Scott’s life will be held privately at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Inurnment will be held at Pleasant Green Cemetery, south of Glasgow.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Pleasant Green Cemetery, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, Mo. 65254.
