It was a tale of two halves as the Fayette boys fell 66-50 on the road to the 1-7 Brookfield BulldogsThursday night.
Fayette fell behind 36-23 before halftime. Even 27 second-half points were not enough to pull closer as the game ended with the Bulldogs ahead by 16.
Senior Theo Owings had his second double-double in as many game as he put 13 points on the board and pulled down 12 rebounds. Junior Ben Wells poured in 16 points to pace the Falcons as senior Dalton Collins added 11.
Fayette will finish the 2021 portion of the season by hosting 8-0 Salisbury on Tuesday evening after The Advertiser has gone to press.
