Taylor honored by Howard County 4-H

Howard County 4-H held its annual recognition night on October 9 at the Howard County Fairgrounds. Members from Steinmetz, Sharon Boosters, Fayette Fellowship and Cherry Grove enjoyed an evening of dinner, awards, fellowship and dancing. 

Youth members receiving awards were: Laci Fuhlage, Level III Recognition Form; treasurer book awards were presented to Kaylea Felten 1st place, and Addisyn Monnig 2nd place; Sawyer Felten placed 1st for his secretary report. 

 Julie Monnig, Majorie Thies, Kristen Felten, and Ryan Monnig were presented volunteer awards for five years of service. 

Joyce Taylor (pictured) was presented with a 30-year volunteer award, and Kay Schnell with a 35-year volunteer award. 

Darlene and Mitch Beaman were awarded The Frank Graham 4-H Volunteer Leadership Award, which recognizes 4-H volunteers for their hard work and dedication to Missouri's youth. The award is named in honor of Frank Graham, former director of the MU Extension 4-H Center for Youth Development and founding member of the Missouri 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees. 

Jan Harris was presented with the Friend of 4-H award.
