A teenager from Mexico, Mo., sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Audrain County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 14-year-old female was not wearing a seatbelt while riding in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by a 16-year-old Glasgow female.
The crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Audrain Road 989 south of Missouri Highway 22 when the pickup truck, bearing south, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, according to the patrol, and no injuries were listed in the report. The 14-year-old passenger refused medical treatment. The truck was damaged extensively and was towed from the scene.
