Thank you to the Fayette R-III School board, Jill Wiseman, Superintendent and Cheri Huster, Daly Elementary principal, for making me a Distinguished Person of the Year. There are so many other individuals who deserve this, more than I do.
It is my privilege and joy to visit Daly School either as a substitute or a volunteer. Dear readers, we are blessed to have outstanding teachers, staff, and helpful maintenance and cafeteria workers.
Every day - the teachers show patience and perseverance as they install classroom rules of conduct, achieve state requirements of learning at grade level and life skills in kindness and consideration for fellow classmates.
As I walk the halls, I feel encouraged for the future. Did I mention goof humor and friendship for follow teachers? Distinguished???? Could it be the gray in my hair.
Sincerely,
Miss Jane (Mrs. Weiland)
