Three new Fayette police officers sworn in Monday

Posted

The City of Fayette swore in three new police officers Monday morning. All three were just graduated from the Law Enforcement Training Institute in Columbia. Aimee Vogt, Collin Luke, and Mason Ray are officially Fayette police officers.

Officer Vogt is a native of Fayette, having graduated from Fayette High School in 2020. Officer Ray will be familiar to Fayette residents, having worked for several years at C&R Market. Both were sponsored by the City of Fayette, which means they were hired by the city and paid at a reserve officer’s rate during their academy training in exchange for a two-year commitment with the Fayette Police Department.

Officers Luke is new to Fayette, having come from Poplar Bluff. He was hired just days before graduating from the academy.

All three officers will continue training with experienced Fayette police officers for the next four weeks. The Fayette Police Department is now fully staffed with seven officers and Chief David Ford.
