The annual Trunk or Treat, held downtown Fayette every Halloween, will be back to normal this year. Presented by Fayette Main Street, Inc., it will begin at 5 p.m.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was modified as drive-thru only last year.
Trick-or-treaters may once again enjoy an open Trunk or Treat, which will span along Main Street from Walnut Street by Fayette City Hall to Elm Street at the entrance to Central Methodist University.
Set up will begin at 4 p.m. for those wishing to provide a trunk. Main Street is seeking more volunteers for the event.
New this year will be a panel of judges to select the best-decorated trunk in each of three categories: businesses, organizations or clubs, and individuals or families. A cash prize will be provided to the winner of each category.
Anyone wishing to host a trunk should contact Fayette Main Street, Inc. by email at fayettemomainstreet@gmail.com.
Additional plans are in the works for the annual event and are expected to be announced next week.
