A Fayette man and another from Harrisburg were killed in an automobile accident involving a semi-tractor trailer and a dump truck Monday afternoon.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Danny L. Stidham, 72, of Harrisburg, was northbound on U.S. 63 near Route NN, north of Columbia and south of Moberly. Stidham was apparently traveling slowly in the right lane when he was hit from behind by a 2018 Kenworth T880 tractor-trailer driven by Carl R. McDonald, 60, of Fayette.
Both men were killed in the crash.
Both vehicles were totaled. Mr. McDonald was wearing a safety device, but Mr. Stidham was not, according to the patrol.
