Glasgow junior Edris Hamilton was able to attain a seventh-place finish on Saturday in the 400-meter dash at the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Class 1 track championships. Hamilton secured his spot on the podium with a time of 53.45.
Freshman Addison Barringhaus was also able to collect a medal as the eighth-place finisher in the girls’ 3200-meter run. Barringhaus covered the distance with a time of 12:46.61.
Also competing, but not finishing in the top eight at the state meet for Glasgow were senior Christian DeWolfe, junior Ethan Martin, sophomore Colton Sellmeyer, freshman Jackson Strodtman, freshman Zachary Sayler, freshman Finn Johnson, sophomore Ryan Graves, senior Robert Gouge, senior Malia Carmack, freshman Kaitlyn Monnig, and Junior Olivia Fuemmeler.
After finishing second in the boys’ sectional, and third in the girls’ sectional, the boys only managed to score two points to finish 50th behind Class 1 winner Principia with 73 points. The girls scored three points for 47th place behind state champs Drexel with 46.
