After years of pain and suffering, Vicki Marie McCutcheon, 53 of Fayette, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2022 at Boone Health in Columbia.

Vicki was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on May 18, 1968.  She married James Innes McCutcheon on April 12, 1998.

Vicki was a Licensed Practical Nurse and enjoyed her profession.  She had been employed at Columbia Regional Hospital and had also been a traveling nurse and had provided home pediatric nursing care.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in New Franklin. As a fourteen year old, Vicki was invited to train in Europe for one of her early passions of competition horse jumping.  Vicki enjoyed traveling, especially trips to her home state of Alaska and to Texas and North Carolina and viewing historical architecture.  She also liked her favorite flowers which included Black-Eyed Susans and yellow roses. Especially important was the companionship of her eight pound canine friend and bed buddy, Zoey.

Survivors include her husband, James Innes McCutcheon; her mother, Bonnie Staggs Phillips; her father, Victor Salburg; her children, Ahmad and Haley McCutcheon; aunt and uncle, Ken and Marsha Staggs; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Also surviving are two brothers-in-law, Ken (Karen) McCutcheon and Kevin McCutcheon; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (David) Lawson and Kristy (Kemp) Strickler and lifelong friend, Julie Brunner Jones.

Vicki was preceded in death by a nephew, Mike Nolting.

Family graveside services honoring Vicki’s life will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Fayette with Rev. Tim Miller officiating.  A public memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at Bible Baptist Church in New Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette PAWS Program.

Condolences may be shared at www.carryager.com.

Arrangements entrusted to Carr-Yager Funeral Home, Fayette, MO.
