The Board of Directors of the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation elected new officers and welcomed two new members to the Board at the December 15 meeting. J.B Waggoner, Managing Partner of Inovatia Laboratories in Fayette and representative of Howard County, was elected Chairman. Chuck McKeown of Century 21 McKeown and Associates of Moberly was elected Vice Chairman, and Rob Cater of Moberly was chosen for Secretary-Treasurer.

“The citizens of Moberly and Randolph County, along with their partners in Monroe County and Howard County, should be proud of the work of the MAEDC,” Waggoner said. “It is a real asset to the region – one that brings with it, great opportunities. As Chairman of the Board, I intend to build on the good work of past leadership and do everything I can to increase the return on investment for the MAEDC’s stakeholders.”

The Board of Directors extended their sincere thanks and best wishes to outgoing members Chairman Jim Bratcher and Vice Chairman Joe Snodgrass, both of Moberly. The Board also welcomed new members Shane Adrian of Edward Jones – Shane Adrian in Moberly, and Ray Stewart Vice President of Operations for Everlast in Moberly.

“The loss of Jim and Joe will definitely be felt by the organization. They have served as officers and been exemplary Board Members. I thank them for their generosity and leadership to MAEDC,” said MAEDC President Michael Bugalski. “It is a privilege to have Shane and Ray join us on the Board and I am excited to see their unique contributions. Also, congratulations and thanks to J.B., Chuck, and Rob for stepping into leadership positions.”

Members of the Board of Directors are chosen by the current Board of Directors and serve a 3-year term with an option to renew for an additional three years.

Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation works to promote financial investment in Randolph, Monroe, and Howard Counties. More information on the organization may be found on its website at http://www.moberly-edc.com.
