Fayette High School seniors Ben Wells and Madi Lawson were crowned Homecoming King and Queen Friday. The coronation took place during halftime of the football game.
Wells is the son of Dakota and Mackenzie Wells. He is the quarterback of the football team. Lawson is the daughter of Jamie and Melanie Lawson. She plays first base on the softball team.
Other senior Queen contestants were Megan Lewis and Preslee Sunderland. King candidates were Haden Kelly and Chase Allen-Jackman. The returning King and Queen were Tyler Bartholomew and Bella Asbury. Ringbearers for Friday night’s halftime coronation were Jax Sunderland and Kinlee Hustedde.
Junior class attendants were Kristian Pulliam and Jenny Kunze, sophomore attendants were Camden Kindle and Cayle John, and freshman attendants were Carter Vroman and Mariah Felten.
Homecoming week was full of activities, including dress-up days, class competitions, pep rallies, and the annual parade through downtown Fayette on Friday afternoon. The parade Grand Marshals were Superintendent Brent Doolin, and Fayette High School Principal Ross Dobson.
The Falcons dominated Paris 40-9 on the gridiron on Friday. A complete game recap appears on page 9 of this newspaper.
