Williams Resigns Public Health Job to Take State Post

Posted
Howard County Public Health Administrator Sheri Williams, R.N., will step down from her post here to take a job with the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services.

She will be based in Columbia as a community health consultant serving Northeast Missouri. Williams and her husband, Tony, will continue to live in Fayette.

Her new position will begin next month. Williams has held the Howard County job for six years, overseeing the public health staff headquartered in the Keller Building.

'While we hate to lose Sheri, we congratulate her on being named to this high-level state position,' said county Presiding Commissioner Lowell Eaton.
He told the Fayette Advertiser that the commission already has interviewed several candidates for the post which Williams will vacate.
