The Glasgow Yellowjackets scored 10 unanswered runs to defeat Prairie Home 13-3 during Babe Ruth baseball action in Boonville on Sunday evening.
Jackson Strodtman broke a 3-3 tie with his speed in the fourth inning. He singled, stole two bases and scored on a passed ball to put the Yellowjackets ahead. Finn Johnson singled to score Laken Carmack in the fifth inning. Zane Johanning, Deklan Himmelberg, Nathan Prentzler and Carmack each drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth to score a run. Alan Westhues was hit by a pitch to score a run as well.
AJ Westhues was 2-3 at the plate and Johnson finished the day with three RBI.
Johanning allowed three unearned runs on a hit and five walks over four innings. He struck out eight batters in the win.
The Yellowjackets dropped the first game of the season earlier on Sunday, 12-2 to KWRT.
Trailing 2-0 early, AJ Westhues and Colton Boss drew back-to-back walks to lead off the second inning and Johnson singled to load the bases. Strodtman and Johanning each drove in a run to tie the game, but KWRT responded with two runs in the third and added seven more in the fifth.
