Three Higbee girls were injured in a UTV crash in rural Howard County on Sunday evening.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 10-year-old driver of a 2015 Kawasaki KAF620-S UTV and her passengers, aged 11 and 12, were northbound on County Road 125, about 1.2 miles north of County Road 123, when the vehicle overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The 10-year-old driver sustained moderate injuries. The 11-year-old passenger was seriously injured. They were both taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. The 12-year-old passenger had only minor injuries. She was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center by private conveyance.
