FHS student selected for arts academy

Beth Frink has been selected to participate in the Missouri Fine Arts Academy to be held at Missouri State University in Springfield for two weeks in June.

A panel of artists and educators select 150 students nominated by public and private schools from across the state.

Participating students will receive instruction in their chosen artistic field as well as experience art forms through workshops, art shows, plays, concerts and visiting with artists.

This year’s theme “Making Connections” will emphasize artists’ responsibilities to use their gifts to make connections between people and art.

Beth received support from the Fayette Music Boosters. She is a junior at Fayette High School and is the daughter of Joe and Linda Bex and the late Mike Frink.
