The Fayette branch of BTC Bank made a donation in the amount of $2,000 to the Fayette High School band and Music Boosters to help fund the band’s upcoming performance at the Missouri Music Educator Association’s annual conference.
In 2012, BTC Bank started the BTC Area Youth Benefit Corp. (BTC AYBC) with a mission to support the activities and organizations benefiting kids in its rural communities beyond what is possible through the constraints of a banking institution. A 501(c)(3) was registered in 2013, and since its inception, the nonprofit has donated more than $185,000 to the youth in BTC’s service areas. One hundred percent of the net proceeds of each BTC AYBC fundraising event flow directly back into the communities.
Recently, BTC AYBC heard about the accomplished Fayette High School band and its invitation to play at the 85th MMEA In-Service Workshop and Conference on Friday, January 27. The band is one of seven high school bands chosen to perform at the prestigious event. The band and Fayette Music Boosters have been working diligently to raise funds to replace older band equipment and assist with costs related to the upcoming MMEA performance.
BTC Bank has long advocated for our local and surrounding communities and believes that the foundation and future of those healthy, thriving communities lie within our youth. BTC AYBC reflects the Bank's community-minded mission and dedication to providing positive experiences for the kids in rural Missouri.
