Chi Delta fraternity donates to Holiday House

Posted

Members of Central Methodist University’s oldest fraternity, Chi Delta, recently conducted their annual Swing Fest to raise money to support the Fayette Holiday House. The members spent 24 hours straight on a porch swing they set up outside the Inman Student Center on campus and collected donations from students, along with CMU faculty and staff.

On Wednesday, December 1, the fraternity presented a check for $300 to Beverly Markland with Holiday House, a local program to provide area youth with Christmas gifts.

Chi Delta Fraternity was founded in 1931 at CMU and just celebrated their 90th year of Brotherhood at the CMU Homecoming. More than 60 alums returned from classes all the way back in the 1950s.
