The Friends of Historic Boonville are proud to present the 48th Annual Missouri River Festival of the Arts, August 23 through August 26, at historic Thespian Hall in Boonville. The festival is a Celebration of Musical and Visual Arts that includes the work of Columbia artist Hannah Reeves on display at the Hain House and three superb musical concerts in Thespian Hall, led by Artistic Director David Halen.

On Thursday, August 24, David Halen and Friends open the Festival Concerts with “A Little Night Music,” featuring Mozart’s “Night Music,” Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” and Schumann’s “Piano Quintet in E-flat Major.”

Friday, August 25, is “Date Night. Music for Fun and Romance.” Cree Carrico, soprano, and Aaron McAllister, pianist, take the stage for a magical evening of music-making.

On Saturday, August 26, The Missouri River Festival Orchestra presents Conductor Stephanie Childress’ return to Thespian Hall to conduct Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5”, “Le Corsaire” by Berlioz, and “Rondo Capriccioso”, by Saint-Saens. Ms. Childress is the Assistant Conductor of the St. Louis Symphony and a rising star in the world of Classical Music.

Featured artist Hannah Reeves will display her work from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. prior to each evening performance and Saturday from 12 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. at the Historic Hain House, 412 4th Street, Boonville.
