The women's soccer team took their second straight HAAC conference title as senior Anika Kallash became the leading scorer in program history with 77 goals in 72 games. They will enter to the conference tourney in April as the number one seed.
The two-time NAIA Champion men’s soccer team finished with a perfect 12-0 record on the season as they defeated Mount Mercy in a come-from-behind thriller Sunday 2-1 at Davis Field. They will also be the number one seed in April.
Freshman guard Leaianva scored a game high 20 points on Friday as Coach Mike Davis’ CMU women’s basketball team outscored Kansas Christian 90-36 in the season opener. Leading 57-17 at the half, CMU did not let up as they scored 33 points in the second half to defeat KCC by 54 points. Leah Johnson, Michelle Nicholls and Savannah Long also reached double figures in scoring.
The CMU women wrestled in a tri-dual match Friday afternoon in Baldwin City, Kan., against Baker University and Waldorf and come away 1-1 on the day. Autumn Barela won both matches against the two teams, while Eve Slago won by a technical fall. The Eagles will return to the mat at home on November 18 for a conference match against Grand View.
Mens basketball moved their record to 1-2 on Friday with an 88-68 win over Bacone. Senior Kyle McDermed scored a game-high 25 points with five 3-point baskets. Fode Camara pulled down 17 assists while scoring 16. Jayden McGrew recorded 7 assists. Central ended the game on a 26-8 scoring run to earn the victory.
