Posted

The Central Methodist University baseball program will host a one-day baseball showcase on Sunday, October 23, at the newly renovated Estes Field on campus.

The showcase is open to high school students from the classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025. The event will run from 1 until 4 p.m. Participants will be able to showcase their skills in front of college coaches in several areas, including hitting, pitching, and fielding.

The cost to register is $50 per participant.

Interested individuals should direct questions to Rob Ehlers, CMU Associate Head Baseball Coach, at mehlers@centralmethodist.edu.

To register for the showcase, go online to www.cmueaglestore.com and click “Camp Registration” under the “Services” tab, then select the baseball showcase.

The Central Methodist Track and Field program will host a Fall Track Camp on Sunday, October 23.

The camp is open to athletes in grades 6-12 and will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Davis Field and Hairston Track on the campus of Central Methodist University. The cost is $80 per athlete and $20.00 per coach.

The one-day camp will offer each athlete an opportunity to be exposed to the technical, tactical, and physical demands of collegiate track and field through competitive exercises organized and conducted by high-level coaching staff members. Training sessions will contain the following key factors in development: competition, critical thinking, and technical repetition. All aspects of the training will encourage and demand player accountability.

Interested individuals may contact Kenny Anderson, CMU Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, with questions related to the event at kranderson@centralmethodist.edu.
