The No. 12 Central Methodist volleyball team pushed its win streak to six games this weekend. The victories over Clarke University and Mount Mercy took place at Puckett Field House and bumped the Lady Eagles to a 15-2 overall record, while standing at 6- 0 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

CMU began the weekend with a three set sweep of Clarke University Friday night by scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-14. Central opened the third and final set on a 15-1 run, ultimately claiming set three by double-digits.

Senior Grace Unnvik led the Eagles' offense with nine kills on 18 swings along with a block. Sophomore Callie Henson followed with five kills and four blocks, while junior Rebecca Neighbors added five kills for a hitting percentage of .667.

Junior Marina Alonso dished out a match-high 15 assists, followed by freshman Yenne Schepers with seven. While sophomore Krystal Brauner added five, and freshman Gabi Owczarek collected four.

As a team, the Eagles recorded eight total service aces, led by freshman Annabelle Maassen who tallied three. Central's defense forced 29 Pride errors and an attack percentage of -.060.

CMU then hosted Heart North Division foe Mount Mercy University Saturday afternoon. The Eagles claimed a four-set victory by scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-27 and 25-10.

Henson collected 14 kills, while freshman Sydney Healy recorded a new career-high 12 kills along with seven digs and a block. The duo of Alonso and Schepers dished out 20 assists apiece.

Brauner recorded a team-high 17 digs, followed by Maassen with 14 and senior Sydni Basler with 13. As a team, Central finished the afternoon with 12 blocks, led by Unnvik who recorded four.
