The outstanding Central Methodist University concert band will perform its annual winter concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday in Linn Memorial Church.
Interim Director of Bands, Dr. Dori Waggoner, will conduct the concert.
Marching band director Devin Fearn will lead the band in Karl King’s “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite.”
The concert will open with “March Grandioso” by Roland Seitz, followed by “English Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
The percussion ensemble will perform Nathan Daugherty’s arrangement of “Stille Nacht.”
Familiar pieces include G.F. Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus,” arranged by Central alumnus Andrew Glover, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro Overture.”
The band will close the concert with another Glover arrangement, “Auld Lang Syne,” by Karl King.
