Former Fayette, Missouri resident, Curtis Flaspohler, 46, passed away November 11, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Curtis Alan Flaspohler was born May 2, 1975 in Girard, Kansas, a son to William “Bill” and Betty (Minor) Flaspohler.  Curtis graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1996.  He worked at the Randolph County Workshop in Moberly, Missouri for over 20 years.  Curtis never met a stranger and had nothing but love for everyone he came into contact with.  He loved fishing, playing golf, listening to and playing country music, and dancing.  Curtis will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Betty (Rod) Neises of Wichita, Kansas; his step-mother, guardian, and caretaker, Carol Flaspohler of Clark, Missouri; two brothers, Butch (Denise) Flaspohler of Sturgeon, Missouri and Ed Flaspohler of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Cynthia (John Penkala) Flaspohler of Toronto, Canada; nephew, Logan Flaspohler; niece, Katie Richards; and great niece, Brynlee Richards.  

He was preceded in death by his father Bill Flaspohler.

Visitation was from 5-7 PM, Monday, November 15, 2021 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette.  A funeral service honoring the life of Curtis was at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 16 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. John Spilman officiating.  Interment  followed the service at Fayette City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 174 Hwy. 5 & 240 N., Fayette, MO 65248.
