Facebook post puts law enforcement ‘on watch’

Posted
Law enforcement officers are “on watch” concerning a threatening Facebook post made anonymously by AintClowninAround in the St. Joseph area. The Facebook posting—with misspellings and grammatical errors—reads: “We will be at all High schools this Friday to either kidnapp students or kill teachers going to they cars...” Presumably the post refers to Friday, Sept. 30.
Howard County Sheriff’s Department posted the threatening message on their Facebook page and issued this statement:
“The Howard County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of the Facebook post below. We are working with surrounding agencies and schools to ensure the safety of the residents of Howard County. In addition, we ask that anyone who sees suspicious activity please call into the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.”
“Whenever a threat is made against schools, we take it seriously,” Howard County Sheriff Mike Neal said. He said on Thursday his department along with local police departments will be “on watch” on Friday.
