FAHA annual membership meeting Oct. 27

The Fayette Area Heritage Association will host its annual membership meeting on Thursday, October 27, at Emmet’s Kitchen & Tap  in downtown Fayette. Social hour starts at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. A short business meeting will follow the the dinner.

During the meeting, historian Mike Dickey will present the program, “Native American Populations: Osage, Missouria, Ioway, and Fox Nations.” Dickey is the historic site administrator of Arrow Rock State Historic Site, Boone’s Lick Historic Site, and Sappington Cemetery Historic Site.

The cost for the dinner is $30. Reservations should be made no later than October 20. Seating for the event is limited to 50 people.

Since 1985, the Fayette Area Heritage Association has acted to benefit the community by raising awareness of contemporary and historical culture.
