Many winners of the Fayette Bicentennial poster contest this summer still have not picked up their winnings, according to organizers.
Only two of the seven winners have claimed their cash prizes. First-place winners are awarded $75, with $50 for second place and $25 for third.
The Fayette Area Heritage Association sponsored the contest. Posters were displayed in building windows on the south side of the downtown square.
Winners may claim their prizes from 9 a.m. to noon on any Saturday morning at the Urial Wright Building on the west side of the square (between Eagle Plaza and Home Oil).
“FAHA would like to thank everyone who submitted a poster and congratulate them on the quality of their work,” said FAHA member Connie Shay. “Posters were judged not only on their artwork but also the content and relevance to the history of Fayette.”

2nd - Kay Sullivan
