The fall 2022 semester at Central Methodist University is drawing near, as student-athletes have already begun to move in and classes will begin soon.

The university’s Welcome Week activities will kick off with new student move-in on Friday, August 19, while classes are set to begin on Monday, August 22. A number of activities are on-tap for the week to introduce students to Central and the Fayette community, including the annual Fair on the Square from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, August 29.

During Welcome Week, students will have the opportunity to engage with faculty, staff, student leaders, and their peers. The goal is to support the CMU mission of academic and professional excellence, ethical leadership, and social responsibility.

CMU athletes have been on campus for a couple of weeks and are preparing for fall seasons. Men’s and women’s soccer open play on the road Friday and Saturday. Women’s volleyball opens its season on the road in Columbia on Friday, August 26. The football team opens the 2022 season at home on Saturday, August 27, versus Grand View University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Davis Field.
