Sophia Farris, a third grader at Daly Elementary School, has qualified for the State 9-10 year old x-country meet to be held later this fall.
Farris is a member of the Fayette Fury kids X-country team. She placed seventh in the 3K race sponsored by the California (MO) Little Pintos.
Sophia finished the race in 14:29. Qualifiers from the state level race will be invited to compete at the national 9-10 year old meet.
