To the Editor:
The Fayette Ministerial Alliance exists for the purpose of giving benevolent care to the communities of Fayette and Armstrong. The year 2022 has been both a productive and challenging one for our cause. Since January 1, 2022, to the present date, we have provided $13,622.99 out of our benevolence fund to help those communities with needs including rent, utilities, and prescriptions. As a result, our benevolence fund balance is less than $100.00. This assistance has been given to 74 different households with a cap of $200.00 annually per household.
The present economic difficulty that our country is dealing with has had an effect on our resources and is limiting the Alliance’s ability to provide continued care. The diminishing of our funds has left us currently unable to assist with community needs. In response to this we have done two things. First, we have lowered the maximum household assistance to $160 per family. Second, we are writing to the Fayette and Armstrong communities asking that you would partner with us in rebuilding our financial resources so that we are able to meet the growing needs as inflation and economic hardship affect the most vulnerable households we serve.
If you are willing and able to give, please send contributions to:
Fayette Ministerial Alliance PO Box 328
Fayette, MO 65248
(with “benevolence” in the memo line). You will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
Under His Grace,
Pastor James Briggs
First Baptist Church, Fayette
Fayette Ministerial Alliance President
