A Fayette teenager was injured in a crash on Interstate 70 in Boone County on Friday, August 20.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 16-year-old juvenile, whose name was not released, was westbound on I-70 around 11 a.m. when the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer she was driving left the right side of the road and struck an embankment.
She was transported via ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt, according to the patrol.
The Chevy SUV was totaled.
