Hazel Josephine Kosfeld, 86, of Franklin, Missouri passed away August 7, 2021, at her home.
Hazel was born in Boonesboro on August 6, 1935, a daughter of John and Ruth Gilmore Isle. She married William “Bill” Kosfeld on January 15, 1969, and he preceded her in death. Prior to retirement, she was the owner and operator of Green Thumb Nursery and had also been employed in the restaurant business. Hazel enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, oil painting, putting together puzzles, antiquing, and making fudge.
Survivors include a son, John Waller of Columbia, and a daughter, Andrea Boggs, and a husband, Shannon of Franklin; a brother, Kenneth Von Isle of New Franklin; three grandchildren, Amanda Ladd, Joseph, and John Boggs; and a great-granddaughter, Pearl.
In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Seabaugh and Carol Neel, and by five sisters, Irene, Jane, Johnnie Fay, Dixie, and Lurline.
Graveside services honoring Hazel’s life were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Franklin, Missouri.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Clarks Chapel Cemetery Association.
