Lifelong Fayette resident James Michael "Mike" Sulltrop passed away on January 11, 2026.
Mike was born June 29, 1957, to James H. and Loretta Calvert Sulltrop.
Mike graduated from Fayette High School and graduated from welding school at Chillicothe Vocational-technical School.
Mike was a self-employed jack of all trades. If you convinced him he couldn't do something, he would prove you wrong out of spite.
Survivors include William (Bill) Sulltrop, Mary Susan (Susie) (Matt) Summerour, Joseph Mitchell (Joe) Sulltrop, Candy Sulltrop, Amanda Jackson, nieces Hannah, Hallie, and nephew Jacob Summerour, and numerous cousins. Mike leaves behind his 10 dogs and a few cats, whom he truly loved each and every one.
A funeral mass will be held on January 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayette. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:30 until 2:30 at the Fayette Senior Center, 600 South Cleveland Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church or to the family.
