Posted

Fayette High School basketball fans will get their first look at the Lady Falcons when they kick off the season with their second annual Black and Gold Scrimmage Thursday night.

The game tips off at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Admission will be one non-perishable food item (preferably breakfast cereal).

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Free t-shirts for fans up to sixth grade will be handed out while supplies last.

A good will donation lasagna dinner will follow the scrimmage.

Fayette finished .500 at 13-13 last season for the first time since 2019 under first-year head coach Daryl Betts. Expectations are high this year for a team that boasts three seniors and six juniors.

Fayette will take part in a preseason jamboree at Meadville on Saturday night. The Lady Falcons open the season at the annual Glasgow Invitational Basketball Tournament, which begins on Nov. 27.
