Larry Shaw, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on August 19, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Born on July 8, 1942, Larry, also known as William or Toby Shaw, was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Larry was an outgoing man with a love for his family, the Royals, fishing, and a good meal. He dedicated his professional life to serving others, working as an Accountant at UE/Ameren in Moberly and later as a Case Manager at Family Services in Fayette. Larry’s dedication and commitment to his work left a lasting impact on those he served and worked alongside.
Larry is survived by his loving daughter, Amy Shaw Prentzler, and her husband, John Prentzler, as well as his daughter, Sara Shaw Bailey and her husband, David Bailey. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Taylor, Anthony, Kendra, Hilary, Haden, and Grant, and great-grandsons Lincoln and Grady. Larry is also survived by his brothers, Dale Shaw and Dean Shaw, his sister, Diane Corman, and their spouses.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Shaw and William Shaw. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who loved them.
Please join us in celebrating the rich life of Larry “Toby” Shaw on September 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of New Franklin, MO.
