Autumn Greetings from the Howard County Library! The changes that fall brings are everywhere around us. The leaves are beginning to change colors and the weather is definitely becoming cooler. However, we have made our own changes at the library and we are very excited to share them with you! The Children’s Craft and Activity Center is complete and we have already held Block Day and Story Time there. All of our young patrons (and their parents too!) seem to really enjoy our new space!
The Friends of the Library book sale room renovation is complete and ready for business! We have relocated the space for the sale, but it is still in our downstairs area. If you come to browse the book sale, you will notice all the differences. The area is lighter and brighter and the books have been arranged in a way that makes it much easier to find what you might be looking for. All items are now fifty cents. Still a bargain!
One more change that we have made is the meeting time for “Readers”, our adults only book club. Beginning November 3, we will have winter hours which will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. These hours will continue through at least February. Our Toddler Time will continue to be on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and our Story Time for the older children is still on Fridays at 11 a.m.
Of course, as always, we have a wide selection of books, including all the new releases and bestsellers! We would love to have you come in and see what is new and different, check out a book, or just stop in for a visit. Have a great October!
