A Fayette woman escaped with minor injuries after the SUV in which she was riding overturned during a crash on Wednesday, June 9, in rural Howard County south of Glasgow.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Janelle R. Copeland, 39, was taken to University Hospital by ambulance after the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox in which she was riding crashed on State Route AA around 5 p.m.
The patrol reports that Shaun C. Blauvelt, 40, of Fayette, was driving northbound when he entered a curve too fast and ran off the right side of the roadway, then overcorrected and exited the left side of the roadway and overturned. No injuries to Blauvelt were listed in the patrol’s report. Both persons were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
The Chevy SUV was towed from the scene.
