Natalie Owen, 96, of Slater, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Glasgow Gardens in Glasgow.
Born April 4, 1924 in Roodhouse, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Blanche Rudd Hannaford.
She is survived by a son, Jack Myers of rural Rocheport; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Hannaford, Otto Hannaford, Charles Hannaford, and her twin Lou Hannaford; and two sisters, Evelyn Duncan, and Nancy Marshall.
Mrs. Owen was a 1942 graduate of Slater High School. She had worked at Street's Drug Store in Fayette, and later Slater Variety Store and the Slater Senior Center..
Funeral services will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, with Buddy Hannaford officiating. Burial will be in Slater Cemetery, with Corey Dexter, John Zonka, Scott Sedgwick, Ted Leach, and Jack Myers serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Slater Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund in care of the funeral home.
