With a career that began in 1976 as a football official, Chuck Snow has seen a lot of things over his officiating career. But Snow didn’t leave it at just officiating football, he added softball, baseball, and basketball to his officiating resume.
Needless to say, he has called a lot of penalties, balls, strikes, and fouls over the years.
The Missouri State High School Activities Association honored Snow at the 2022 MSHSAA State Baseball Championships on Saturday with its Distinguished Service Award.
Snow’s experience covers more than 1,000 softball games and 1,200 baseball games.
He has also served as a rules interpreter since 2003 and has been known as the man to go to if there is ever a question about the application of a rule.
When school gets out and high school seasons end, Snow has served as the coordinator of umpires for both baseball and softball for the Show-Me State Games.
MSHSAA honored him with a plaque expressing thanks for Snow’s dedication and service to the students in Missouri.
