Winners of the annual Fayette Optimist Club fishing derby pose with their new fishing poles. The poles, along with other prizes, were awarded to participants in age divisions of nine and under and 10-15.
A total of 43 anglers pulled bass and bluegill out of the lake located at The Lodge on State Route DD south of Fayette Saturday morning.
Left to right: Nathan Bean (most fish caught), Mae Gerlt (largest fish), Presleigh Cassatt (smallest fish), Landon Baylor (most fish), Emily Pierce (largest fish), and Martha Crowley (smallest fish).
The poles and worms were supplied by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Prizes, hotdogs, and water were provided by the Fayette Optimist Club.
