Kenny Blakely (second from right) hands Fayette High School boys golf coach Garth Menees a check in the amount of $3,000 at the annual Meet the Falcons Night on Thursday at the high school football field. The Fayette Golf Course annually hosts the Kenny Blakely Classic, this year held on August 12, to raise funds for the programs. Traditionally, $1,500 is presented to the golf team. But this year, FHS fields a girls’ golf team that will compete in the fall, so $1,500 was donated to each team.
Left to right: FHS girls’ golf coach Holly Rhode, Fayette Golf Course manager Leah Flaspohler, Blakely, and Menees.
