Ralph Henry Wilmsmeyer, 79, of New Franklin, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Visitation for Ralph will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Howard Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.

Ralph Henry Wilmsmeyer was born on August 5, 1943, the son of Emil and Johanna (Stratmann) Wilmsmeyer. Ralph graduated from New Franklin High School in 1961. After high school, he took a job working for Jennings Meat Locker and worked there for 60 years until his retirement last year. Ralph enjoyed being outdoors, working on the farm, mowing his lawn, or just driving around on gravel roads and listening to music. Ralph’s pride and joy was his family. He loved to spend time with them and go to all of his grandsons’ events. He was so proud of them and all their accomplishments.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Johanna Wilmsmeyer, wife Sharon Wilmsmeyer, brothers Richard and Melvin Wilmsmeyer, sisters Mildred Wilmsmeyer and Roslee Schupp, and brother-in-law Jerry Watson.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Christa) Wilmsmeyer, brother Hugo (Donna) Wilmsmeyer, sisters Ruth Watson and Helen (Darrell) Oser. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Clayton and Connor Wilmsmeyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association in New Franklin. Online condolences may be left at: www.howardfh.com.
