The Fayette Area Heritage Association (FAHA) will hold its annual membership meeting at 6 p.m. on Friday evening, November 7, at the Inman Student and Community Center at Central Methodist University. Along with other activities, FAHA maintains the historic Uriel Wright Building on the Fayette square and sponsors the annual Fayette Festival of the Arts. Each year, a dinner meeting is held that includes a program of historical interest.
This year, the program will be “Howard County Genealogy” presented by Kathy Brady.
“We are very happy to have Kathy, a well-known Howard County native, as our speaker. She is the resident genealogist at the Collier Genealogy Center at the Howard County Public Library in Fayette,” said longtime board member Gary Bagby. “She has deep family connections in our area and is known for her expertise in helping folks ‘find their roots’ in our county and throughout the world using her considerable talent and the volumes of reference material at the center and online. Her program promises to be an informative and enjoyable evening for members of FAHA and the community.
The cost for dinner is $20. Seating is limited, so reservations are required by November 1. For more information and reservations, please call or text Mr. Bagby at (660) 728-2455.
