Solo’s Dream Catcher, a local pet charity, will host its second annual Catching Dreams Catfishing Tournament on Saturday, August 6, at Stump Island in Glasgow.
The boat release for three-person rod-and-reel teams will take place at 7 a.m. With a weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $150 per team. Winners will be determined by overall weight of up to three fish.
Three-man teams may enter the 66 Hoot Tournament at a cost of $150 per team. The boat release will take place at 2 p.m., with the weigh-in at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Winners will be determined by overall weight of up to five fish.
The event kicks off on Friday, August 5, with a fish fry at St. Joseph’s Church Hall in Fayette from 5 until 7 p.m. The cost for a meal is $15 per plate and includes one non-alcoholic drink. Silent auction bids will be taken from 6 until 7 p.m., with a live auction starting at 7:30 p.m.

Solo’s Dream Catcher is a pet welfare charity founded in 2021 by Shelley Day. The non-profit organization raises money to help pay for veterinary services for pets whose owners cannot afford care. All donations are tax-deductible.
