In Loving Memory of Stacy Lynn (Agan) Wilder.

Stacy Lynn Wilder, born October 31, 1976, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, passed away on September 14, 2023, at her home in Harrisburg, Missouri, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Stacy was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. She graduated from Hickman High School in 1995. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. On June 18, 2005, she joined hands in marriage with Michael C. Wilder, forming a union that would be filled with shared adventures.

As a microbiologist, Stacy contributed significantly to her field, working at ABC Labs in Columbia for several years before transitioning to work at the University of Missouri Research Reactor alongside her husband, Mike. Her work yielded two patents through research at MU.

Beyond her professional life, Stacy was a woman of adventure and creativity. Her love for travel took her across the Americas, Canada, Ireland, and Europe with family and friends, where she collected cherished memories and experiences. In her spare moments, she found joy in scrapbooking, creating beautiful keepsakes for her beloved children, and capturing the essence of her travels. Stacy was also a member of the Howard County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Stacy is survived by her husband, Mike Wilder, and their children, Evan J. Wilder and Claire V. Wilder. She is also survived by her parents, James Brooks Agan and Connie C. Agan; sister Stephanie R.’ Agan; and her mother-in-law, Mary G. Wilder. Stacy's memory will live on in the hearts of her numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Wesley Glenn Agan, and father-in-law, David L. Wilder, Jr.

A visitation to honor Stacy's life will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Memorial Park Cemetery/Columbia, located at 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, Missouri 65202. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Stacy will find her final resting place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Stacy's indomitable spirit, love for her family, and contributions to science will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a breast cancer research foundation of your choice in her honor.
