The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association will induct 10 new members into its Hall of Fame in September, including Harrisburg’s Steve Combs.
A two-time MBCA Class 2 Coach of the Year, Combs was the head coach at Harrisburg for 18 seasons, collecting nine district titles, six final four appearances, one runner-up finish, and a pair of State championships.
Combs retired in 2017 after leading the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in his final season.
The ceremony is scheduled for September 13 in Springfield.
Also joining the Hall of Fame will be La Plata head coach Greg Buescher.
Buescher had a coaching stint at Glasgow before winning the Class 2 Boys State Championship with 32-0 Sturgeon in 2010. He collected his 500th career win in December.
The rest of the 2020 Hall of Fame class includes: Jeff Bowland, Nancy Fahey, Duane Hiler, Gary Koch, Gerry Marlin, Pete McBride, Todd Shannon, and Steve Shepard.
