To the Editor:
Virginia Weiker was a retired teacher and long time substitute of the Fayette School District. She was the most dedicated, reliable, and hardworking substitute we had. Teachers requested Mrs. Weiker often and she substituted in a variety of classrooms. Mrs. Weiker was a valued member of our school community.
In remembrance of her dedication and love for our students, her family created a memorial for donations to provide money for students’ lunch accounts at Daly Elementary. This helped meet the needs of many students in our district. We received a significant amount in honor of Mrs. Weiker. This generosity is a tribute to the servanthood and dedication of Mrs. Weiker. We are extremely grateful and appreciative of the support of our local community.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cheri Huster
Daly Elementary Principal
